Students are always welcome at Chellow Heights but we are a popular school and cannot always accommodate all requests for placement.

We do provide placements for 6th Form students, the majority are studying Health and Social Care and some of these go on to join our apprentice programme.

A lot of students join us to do placements for Initial Teacher Training ( ITT) programmes through Universities,  School Direct or SCITT programmes.

They come from our own School Direct programme and through

  • The Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance
  • Bradford College
  • Bradford University
  • Leeds Trinity Univiersity
  • Leeds  University
  • Leeds Beckett University
  • Manchester University

Students from many different studies join us at Chellow Heights. As well as teaching students we have offered placements for medical students and those studying health and social care. We are currently investigating how we can accommodate Occupational Therapy students.

If you want to know more about what we offer or wish to apply for a placement please contact Juliann Wagstaff on the Chellow West school number or email her on
