Local Authority Partnership

As a maintained school, Chellow Heights works closely with the Local Authority (LA)  LA Officers attend school for EHCP conversion reviews, Joint Assessment Meetings (JAMs) where possible. We have support from Bradfords Sensory support team with visits to advise staff on programmes of work or resources and occasional training, We buy in  LA Educational Psychology advice as required.

In addition we are regularly in contact with LA SEBD Placement Officers and managers re pupil consultations for placements for the main school and our  early years departments. 

 The Executive Headteacher and Deputies sit on the LA SEND Placement panel in turn with the rest of the DAP special schools

 The Executive Headteacher sits on Schools Forum as the Special Schools representative and on the High Needs Funding sub group.
