School Nursing Special Needs Team
We are a team of qualified Nurses and Health Care Support Workers who provide training and supervision to school so they can successfully and safely support children with their health needs throughout the school day.

Where possible, we attend parents evenings and coffee mornings in school, where we would be happy to discuss any concerns with you.

Our working hours are Monday -Friday 8am to 4pm all year round (except Bank Holidays).
You can also contact us through school.

We provide toilet training workshops to support you in toilet training your child.

We facilitate clinics in schools for Paediatricians so that children don’t have to miss time at school.

We run Health Promotion sessions within the school setting including Sun Safety, Health Eating, Accident Prevention and Hand Hygiene.

We offer regular immunisation preparation and desensitisation work for all the children in school. This supports the children in accessing their immunisations to keep them healthy.
