All children aged 2-5 are placed in Early Years Foundation Stage with differentiated environment, provision and learning styles for pupils of all needs and abilities.

Pupils will gain knowledge and skills in the following curriculum areas:

  • Communication
  • Physical Development
  • PSED
  • Literacy – reading, writing
  • Maths – number, shape, space, measure
  • Understanding the World – People and Communities, The World, Technology
  • Expressive Arts & Design – Art, Music, Drama and Movement

By the end of Reception, children will be assessed using Development Matters EYFS framework and placed into the most appropriate pathway for Key Stage 1 & 2.
