Arriving at Chellow – “My school day starts when I arrive at school.”

  • I use my individual visual timetable, symbols, objects of reference, Touch Cues or communication system to help me understand what is happening during the day.
  • I might have a now and next board to help me understand what I am doing now and what is coming next.
  • My staff know that understanding what is happening helps me to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

My teacher and support staff know my individual needs and adapt activities, resources, communication and the environment to help me access my learning. My learning is linked to my individual targets and the skills I need to develop.
